A microorganism is a living thing that is too small to be seen with the naked eye. Examples of microorganisms include bacteria, viruses, algae, protozoa and fungi. In this lesson, students will learn about the 5 different types of microorganisms and how they behave. They will complete a matching activity: matching the microorganism with its information and will further investigate them through links to scientific websites online provided. They will then write a non-chronological report on what they have learnt (proformas provided) and will finally create their own microbe character to write a ‘Lonely Hearts’ add for, for fun.
